Admissions to The Lawrence School, Sanawar are conducted through a transparent selection process that evaluates academic potential, extracurricular talents, and overall suitability for boarding school life.
Admissions are open for classes IV to IX and XI. Students must be between 8-16 years of age as on 1st April of the academic year. Applications must be submitted online with the following documents:
Application fee: ₹2,500 (non-refundable).
All applicants must appear for the Lawrence School Entrance Test (LSET) which assesses English, Mathematics, and General Aptitude. The test is conducted both online and offline at designated centers across India.
For classes IV-VI: Focus on basic language and numerical skills.
For classes VII-IX: Additional sections on Science and Social Studies.
For class XI: Subject-specific tests based on chosen stream.
Special consideration is given to children of armed forces personnel and alumni.
Shortlisted candidates are invited for a personal interview with the Principal and Head of Admissions. This may be conducted in person at Sanawar or via video conference for international applicants.
The interview assesses communication skills, motivation, and overall personality. Parents/guardians are also interviewed separately to ensure alignment with school values and expectations.
Final selection is based on combined performance in entrance test, previous academic record, interview, and extracurricular achievements. Results are declared within two weeks of interview.
